Training for External Professionals

We offer our training programmes to other social care professionals who want to gain knowledge and develop new skills to succeed in their careers.

Creative Support is an endorsed provider by Skills for Care – a quality mark for learning and development providers within the adult social care sector

Creative Support was established over 30 years ago and is one of the largest not-for-profit providers of prevention and care services.

We have used our experience and expertise to develop an outstanding training programme for both internal and external candidates.

Our innovative courses are aligned with current legislation and best practice. They are endorsed by Skills for Care and delivered by inspiring, engaging trainers.

Our newest course, Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace, teaches how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide support to those in distress. Delivered by a fully qualified instructor accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health, the two-day course equips attendees with the skills to listen, reassure and respond in a crisis.

Here’s what those who have completed the course have said:

“Really powerful, useful and uplifting training. I got so much out of it. I left feeling confident and positive – couldn’t recommend it enough.”

“I left the classroom feeling more confident in my ability to contain anxiety and distress on behalf of others, pre-emptively spot the signs and symptoms and to function well in the context of a mental health crisis or emergency.”

“I felt genuinely very privileged to be able to take this training as part of my job, and I strongly recommend all of my colleagues, even if they are not directly working in mental health related roles, to book a place on the course and broaden their understanding.”

“Attending the training supported me in learning how to effectively manage someone who was in crisis with their mental health, and also how to support someone whether that be staff or service user with ongoing mental health problems. It assisted me in learning the correct terms to use to describe someone’s mental health.”
