- Updated knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Human Rights (EDHR): The Golden Thread
- Understanding of workplace responsibilities as stated by the Equality Act 2010
- Understanding of the protected characteristics that are covered by the law
- Understanding of discrimination and be able to recognise the different types
- Understanding of what is deemed as prohibited conduct within the Equality Act 2010
- Awareness of the importance of equality and diversity training so that the workplace can become more accepting and understanding
- Understanding of how anti-discriminatory practice promotes valuing and respecting individual needs
- Ability to identify factors essential to promoting equality and diversity
- Explore the use of evolving language
